Inkjet MFPs and printers are great devices for home and office use. They excel at printing text and provide the best photo quality. But despite the indicated advantages and a more affordable (compared to laser solutions) price, this technique has a significant disadvantage - the high cost of one print. The continuous ink supply system (CISS) is designed to solve this problem. Initially, consumers themselves equipped devices with it, but then manufacturers decided to produce serial models. We decided to choose the best printers and MFPs with CISS. This technique will not only reduce printing costs, but also reduce the cost of refueling.
The best printers with CISS
As a rule, interaction with documents for most buyers is limited to their creation and / or editing on a computer, followed by printing the received materials. Therefore, it makes no sense to overpay for additional features that will be used extremely rarely or will not be in demand at all. The money you save can be spent on a printer with improved print resolution, replacement ink, paper packaging, and other more useful items.
1. HP Ink Tank 115
Let's start the TOP printers with CISS from the popular American manufacturer HP. Its inexpensive Ink Tank 115 offers good print quality and minimal functionality. There are no wireless modules or Ethernet, so the connection is only possible via USB. Document printing speed is typical for budget inkjet printers - 19 and 16 pages per minute for b / w and color.
When printing images on the same A4 sheets, the performance of the Ink Tank 115 drops to 8 and 5, respectively.
The printer is compatible with matte and glossy office papers from 60 g / m2. For photographic paper, the maximum is 300 grams per square meter. Also, this model is available for printing on labels and envelopes. The paper feed and output trays in the HP Ink Tank 115 hold 60 and 25 sheets of paper. The printer itself supports current Windows, Mac OS and Linux desktop systems.
Advantages:
- printing on thick paper;
- supports Linux and Mac;
- affordable cost;
- general resource of containers;
- the noise level is not higher than 47 dB;
- reasoned cost.
Disadvantages:
- USB cable not included.
2. Canon PIXMA G1411
The next line was taken by an excellent printer with a built-in CISS from the Japanese brand Canon. The maximum print resolution for both modes on the PIXMA G1411 is 4800 x 1200 dpi. The device works exclusively with Microsoft systems, which must be considered before purchasing. The power consumption of the printer during operation does not exceed 11 W, and during standby it drops to 0.6 W. The technician uses standard GI-490 inks: black (PGBK), magenta (M), cyan (C) and yellow (Y). Canon PIXMA G1411 100% filled capacity is enough for 6000 b / w and 7000 color A4 pages.
Advantages:
- high-quality photo printing;
- high-quality assembly;
- CISS is located in the case;
- ease of use;
- economical ink consumption;

- support exclusively for Windows.
3. Epson L312
The next model is suitable for a home or small office. In terms of capabilities, the Epson L312 is not inferior to competitors in its price category, and some characteristics of this device even surpass competitors. For example, the print speed of b / w documents here is declared at 33 pages / min.In color, a good printer with CISS support is noticeably slower - up to 15 sheets in 60 seconds.
The minimum drop volume in L312 is 3 pl, so halftones and transitions in images are very high quality and smooth.
The resolution of the device in each mode reaches an impressive 5760 × 1440 dpi. The range of paper weight suitable for this printer is from 64 to 255 grams per square meter. As with the models discussed above, additional functionality is limited here. But the resource of color and b / w cartridges in Epson L312 is equal to 7500 and 4500 pages, and you can refill them not only with original ink.

And they can be offered by a printer with an economical CISS, which provides exclusively black color - Epson M100. As in the model above, the minimum drop volume here is 3 pl. Print speed is insignificant, but faster (34 pages per minute), and the volume of the input and output trays has not changed - 100 and 50 sheets.
Since this model is not intended for printing pictures, it only works with office paper with a density of 64-95 g / m2, as well as labels, cards and envelopes. The CISS built into the printer is designed to print 6000 pages. The device is refilled with T7741 black ink. The user will find them in a set with equipment (standard bottle of 140 ml).
Advantages:
- excellent print quality;
- high speed of work;
- low cost;
- good toner resource;

Disadvantages:
- only b / w printing is supported.
The best MFPs with CISS
Multifunctional devices are found in any modern office. This technique combines a printer, scanner and copier, which are sometimes even supplemented by a fax that is not very popular today. Since we are considering models for personal use, the latter is not represented in any of them. But all devices can boast of high quality printing of both documents and pictures.
1. Brother DCP-T310 InkBenefit Plus
Affordable MFP with original CISS from Brother. The cost of DCP-T310 InkBenefit Plus in Russian online stores starts from 126 $... Wi-Fi for this price, of course, cannot be obtained. But otherwise we have before us a very worthy candidate for purchase for home use.
The optimal number of pages per month for DCP-T310 is no more than 1000 pieces.
The print resolution of this device is quite good - 6000 x 1200 dots. The scanner with its 2400 × 1200 dpi also pleases. But the speed of work here is not impressive - only 12 and 6 pages per minute for b / w and color, respectively. The DCP-T310 can print on office glossy or matte paper over 64 and photo paper up to 300 g / m2. As for the cartridge yield, for black and color it is equal to 6500 and 5000 pages.

One copy in sFCOT mode can be obtained after 24 seconds; sESAT copies about 3.5 images per minute.
The PIXMA G line includes several categories of devices. The difference is indicated by the first digit in the name. So, "1" is a common printer, considered in the first category; "2" - a printer with a scanner; "3" is the same, but also with the Wi-Fi module, as in our case, "4" is the most advanced option with fax and auto-feed.
The capacity of the built-in CISS Canon MFP is enough for 7000 color and 6000 b / w documents. The maximum power consumption during operation is 11 W, which is quite low. But the noise level here is not the lowest - 53.5 dB. Another disadvantage that may be significant for inexperienced users is the lack of detailed instructions. 4. Epson L850
The review of the MFP with CISS is completed by the first-class model from Epson. But for all its advantages, you will have to pay a rather large amount of almost 420 $... How does the L850 justify such a price tag? Firstly, we have before us the only rating device equipped with 6 colors at once. Two of them are black to separate photo and text printing.
The built-in CISS in the Epson MFP is designed for 1,800 pages for both color and b / w.
Secondly, in terms of speed, the reviewed model bypasses some laser models - up to 38 pages per minute. The device also does not spend much time on printing a color photo 10 × 15 (12 seconds). - excellent photo printing quality;
- impressive print speed;

- network connection unavailable.
Which printer or MFP with CISS to buy
When the user needs to print exclusively text documents with simple graphics (for example, abstracts, laboratory, reports, and so on), then the Epson M100 is the ideal solution. For photographs and materials in color, the L312 model from the same Epson company or the Canon PIXMA G1411 is suitable. The distribution of positions in the category of multifunctional devices was similar. For discerning buyers we recommend choosing the 6-color Epson L850. Need something cheaper, but just as high quality? Then competitors from Canon or HP will be the best purchase.
