Honor View 20 - release date, price
At the moment there is no information about prices or the date of the start of sales. Honor plans to unveil this data at an exhibition in Paris, France, which is scheduled for January 22.
Considering that the smartphone has already been shown in China, we can say that it looks impressive. It has many interesting features, and most likely it will be included in the list of the most interesting new products. 2025 of the year.
First of all, an interesting design catches the eye - this is a "punched" hole in which the front 25-megapixel camera is located. This solution allows the phone to look much more "full screen" than anything we've seen before.
Honor this time decided to use the Magic 2 slider design - here the cameras are hidden behind a sliding body - the solution looks very interesting.
We have to say that we were initially skeptical about this design decision, but after using the phone we changed our mind. It is not annoying like traditional smartphones, which always have something dark on their screen. We got used to the new design almost instantly.
The size of the screen itself is 6.4 inches, although it seems much smaller in the hand. This is a phone with a huge screen that can really be used with one hand.
The Honor View 20 is much more than just a phone, the manufacturer has decided on an innovative design and many other features that should attract buyers.
The hardware is the same Kirin 980 chipset you'll find in the Huawei Mate 20 and Mate Pro, and as long as we don't properly use phones with Snapdragon 855, it could compete with the iPhone A11 Bionic as the fastest chipset out of installed on phones. This chip is paired with 6GB / 8GB of RAM (the version we used has 8GB), support for memory cards up to 256GB.
The battery capacity is also impressive at 4000 mAh. Combine that with an efficient chip and 1080p display and you have a phone that has great performance.
This phone looks absolutely gorgeous and is arguably the nicest device in Honor. We'd even say it looks better than any smartphone from Honor's parent company, Huawei. And this is not only because of the attractive design at the front. Flip it over and you'll see Honor's beloved blue hue (black and red models will also go on sale), and the back has a distinctive V-engraving that seems to move when light hits it.
There's no fingerprint reader here, instead you'll find a more traditional round bezel at the back and a USB-C port at the bottom. Honor even found room for a 3.5mm headphone jack, which you probably won't see on many other flagships. 2025 of the year.
In addition, the rear of the View 20 houses a new 48MP Sony IMX586 camera sensor and an optional TOF sensor that help in 3D object recognition. The manufacturer says this 3D sensor can be used for AR gaming and will work similarly to Microsoft's Kinect.
We haven't had enough time to evaluate the image quality of this new Sony sensor yet, but we were impressed with the first batch of shots we took.By default you will shoot 12 megapixel images, 48 megapixels can be selected in the Settings menu. There is also a 25MP camera on the front.
Other nice options include AI-based cooling, triple antenna Wi-Fi, and dual-frequency GPS.
First impressions
Honor View 20 is the first flagship phone 2025 years, and it can already become one of the best. It is a beautiful smartphone with many interesting features and innovations.
