This week, technical advisor Ben Geskin posted a deleted tweet (via Slashgear), which read: "Exclusive: Xiaomi will host an event on February 24, possibly dedicated to the Mi Mix 3 5G." It is unclear why the post was deleted, but the rumor has already spread.
The Mi Mix 3 4G, which was only released in October, is Xiaomi's current flagship. It features a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with 19.5: 9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor with 6GB of RAM, two 12MP main cameras and pop-up dual 24- and 2-megapixel front cameras.
“Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 - undoubtedly attracts with its mechanism of traveling cameras. They are tested in real conditions. According to users, these cameras are superior to similar solutions of competitors, "- say the developers.
"The high quality materials and excellent build quality meet the premium requirements, and if the cost in Russia does not differ much from the cost in China, it will be an excellent choice for those who value quality at a reasonable cost."
This is certainly not the first time we hear from Xiaomi about the 5G version of the Mi Mix 3.
At the China Mobile Global Partner Conference in December, company representatives have already announced that in 2025 5G phones will hit the market this year, and the Mi Mix 3 5G will be equipped with the most powerful Snapdragon 855 chipset and X50 5G module.
It is not clear yet if other changes will be made, but it is certainly only a matter of time before Xiaomi will turn to users with an official statement.
